Go and keep going

No matter what you do, no matter how many times you fail and think to yourself that there’s no point to carry on, no matter how many people tell you that you can’t do it, keep going. Don’t quit. Don’t quit because tomorrow you will be that much closer to your dream. If you stop, you lose. Make every hour counts.

We don’t know what lies ahead but having great ambitions make ordinary citizens to keep going unless we were born favored having everything more than what we prayed for. Israelmore Avivor says “If you really want to eat, keep climbing. The fruits are on the top of the tree. Stretch your hands and keep stretching them. Success is on the top, keep going”.

I heard a story about a fine young lady who barely had anything to eat, no decent clothes to wear and no fine house in which to live. Her parents are farmers but despite of the circumstance, she was a consistent academic scholar. She graduated cum laude and later became a successful teacher. Her dream to provide her family a well- sheltered and a comfortable life is now within her reach. It’s very inspiring for us also to carry on with at least enough resources to keep going.

Nothing great ever comes easy. It’s never easy to become a teacher who is considered as the most influential figure in a child’s academic life and yonder. Some, if not all teachers make this an inspiration to keep teaching. Even doctors who treat sick people and other professionals are inspired to perform their field of work with great passion.

Imperfections are not shortfalls. These remind us to be brave and be inspired to achieve what we are aiming for: building homes, getting hired by a famous company or acquiring a position in Malacañang Palace. “Get out of your comfort zone”, a line I often heard from one of the ideal persons I look up to. It reminds me to be resilient, to always aim high and discern that everything will come in its perfect time.

“If you can’t figure out your purpose, figure out your passion, for your passion will lead you right into your purpose” (Bishop T.D. Jakes). You don’t have to be fast, just be steadfast and persistent. You only need to go and KEEP GOING! Life is not a race. It’s not how fast you get to your destination but how well you did throughout the journey.
