Making the Most of Our Time

rox1Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination: never put off till tomorrow what you can do today. –Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield.

Our lives are large collection of single day’s accomplishment. The sun rises, the sun sets, and it rises again. And at the end, the lives we chose to live will be determined by how we choose to spend each day. Every day is a challenge to conquer and a mystery to solve yet, even the complications of life we can always decide to make the most of our time.

The happenings of our daily activities defend in our decision whether we choose to be happy or to be sad. Here are some of the helpful suggestions:

  1. We need to realize that we live in a very different time than we did twenty five years. No other generation has enjoyed such an impressive shift in technology and lifestyle changes. Whatever changes we see we need to adopt those changes or we may be swallowed by our old point of view.
  2. We need to realize that time is running out. It’s mean to say, but it’s true. As baby boomers, needs to realize that time is now limited, there’s a need to make the very best of it as we live in a very limited moments.
  3. We need to realize that time is a very valuable tool. It can be manipulated, shared, divided, and saved. There are surefire ways to make the most of your time.
  4. Time is our most valuable resource. If we learn how to control and use it wisely, we will maximize our output both spiritually and financially, and then at the end of the day we will be happy, contented and fulfilled.

As I work in a government office, I realized that in every details of my life I am working to serve and so I should decide that what I should do be done as part of my share. To be efficient public servant at the same time making the most of time for at the end of the day what will be counted is not the things that I did but how I did it.
