Accessibility of Technology of the Schools

Over the years, as the form of communication improved using the advancement of technology, there has always been a difficulty of classroom teachers to make the learners be involved in classroom instruction. As devices became smaller, more affordable and accessible to the masses, most learners have now basic knowledge on texting and on navigating the digital world. As their accessibility to information widen, the hunger for gathering interesting topics is also evident. To help learners and teachers maintain the interest of learning new things and help learners be involved in active learning in real world contexts, the Department of Education continuously provides ICT packages to schools and learning centers through its DepEd Computerization Program (DCP). The Government Procurement Reform Act: An Insight

Having worked with the Bids and Awards Committee at the Local Government Unit of Malaybalay City for 3 years and having been introduced to various procurement processes in the government, it really interests me to listen on discussions about R.A. 9184 also known as the Government Procurement Reform Act. This was one of the topics during the Seminar I attended at Cagayan De Oro City.

K-12: LGU invites DepEd Malaybalay City, conducts forum on SHS implementation

kto12wlguTo inquire on the impact of K-12 Senior High School program, Vice Mayor Roland Deticio and the Sanguniang Panlungsod Members of the City of Malaybalay invited the Division of Malaybalay City core officials to conduct an orientation.

This invitation is another indicator of the LGU’s cooperation towards enhancing basic education.

Three years after the law was passed and implemented, the program will be put to its final test this incoming school year 2016 –2017 as DepEd caters to the first batch of senior high school students. Many institutions question the impact of this change for students or even the entire community.

Panaon and Tudela Municipalities welcome Malaybalay City delegates

palaro2After a long way travel from Malaybalay City, a warmth welcome was tendered to the Malaybalay City Division delegates by the host school, Panaon Central School, Panaon, Misamis Occidental, December 12.

The gestures of welcome did not end with the groundwork for that day since another grand welcome program and party was held at Punta Meriam Beach Resort, Panaon, Misamis Occidental, December 13.

Both occasions were sponsored and spearheaded by the leaders of the municipalities of Tudela and Panaon Hon. Estela Obut-Estano and Hon. Francisco T. Paylaga Sr. and the Public Schools District Supervisors Ms. Leah G. Xenos and Mr. Alex C. Tutas, respectively whose presence made the welcome more meaningful for the delegation.

Palarong Pampook 2015 features Governor’s Night

palaro1One of the most anticipated activities in the Palarong Pampook is the Governor’s Night.

This year it was held at the Provincial Cultural and Farmers’ Training Center, Oroquieta City.

In attendance were the local government officials headed by Hon. Herminia M. Ramiro – Provincial Governor of Misamis Occidental and the 14 Superintendents of the fourteen participating Divisions who were dressed in their cocktail attire complementing the ambiance of the venue.

The highlights of the occasion were the introduction of 14 candidates vying for the title Bb. Palarong Pampook 2015, the amazing performance of Mr. Richard Poon and the giving of tokens by the Provincial Governor to the Schools Division Superintendents of the different delegations.
