Every person has a talent may it be special like athletic, creative or artistic aptitude, general intelligence or mental power, and other abilities. Developing Youth’s Metacognition: Solving Some Issues of Distance Learning

The abrupt implementation of Distance Learning Modality brought a lot of concerns from the parents. The DLM forces the parents to become and act like the school teachers of their children. The main issue in this implementation is in situation where some parents are not capable of teaching the lessons of their children. How is it possible for the parents who cannot read and write to teach their child? How is it possible for the parents whose highest educational attainment is elementary and whose children are in high school? How about the parents who need to work for them to eat in one day? How can they manage their time to help their children? These are all concerns of parents regarding how the education can still be effective and efficient despite of all these gaps and issues. Emphasizing on 21st Century Literacy Skill for Developing Learners Amidst Pandemic

Distance Learning Modality (DLM) is one of the presented solutions by DepEd to continue education despite COVID-19 pandemic. Distance learning is normally design for countries whose schools are far from learner’s home. In the country, distance learning is used for learners in Alternative Learning System whose age are normally above their grade levels and have greater ability to adopt to the changes brought by distance learning. This time Distance Learning Modality is design to avoid physical contact and contamination from COVID-19 virus.
