The Department of Education (DepEd) condoles with the family of Vilma Cabactulan, a teacher from Pedro “Oloy” N. Roa National High School in Cagayan De Oro who was fatally stabbed by her student on September 13, 2016.
“I am deeply saddened and disturbed that an incident such as this happened in a place of learning. The Brigada Eskwela is the present-day portrayal of our well-known Bayanihan spirit – the long time tradition of volunteerism we Filipinos value most. It’s a nationwide campaign of public schools with the consent and guidance of the Department of Education (DepED) to initiate the voluntary convergence of acquired resources, efforts of teachers, cooperation of parents and students, support of community officials and non-government organizations. All voluntary stakeholders convene together to conduct minor repair and clean up in their respective schools for at least two weeks before the start of the in-coming school year. Across the country, the division offices pay for the electricity and water bills of every single school. Canvassing, purchasing and delivery of supplies are not at one time assigned to school administrators.

Ang nasabing equipment ay tig- isang set na bola at net ng larong volleyball. Ipinamigay ito sa pamamagitan ng ating Tagapamanihala ng Paaralan Edilberto L. Oplenaria, CESO VI sa Mini Bulwagan ng DepEd Malaybalay Purok 6, Casisang, Malaybalay kasama ang mga EPS, PSDS, Prinsipal at ibang personel ng Dep Ed.
