DepEd Malaybalay City is SALN Compliant
In compliance to RA No. 6713, the Division of Malaybalay City submitted the 2014 Sworn Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) with Summary Report, Forms 1 and 2, and Sworn Certification to the Office of the Ombudsman, Mindanao Regional Office, Kauswagan National Highway, Cagayan de Oro City, April 30. Separate summary report was prepared for newly hired employees who recently assumed office and were taught how to accomplish the SALN at Roberto’s Place, April 23 and 24.

AYOS Project aligns to the strategic directions in realizing the Schools Division Office (SDO) vision, mission and core values. AYOS Project serves as a strategic approach in enabling, engaging, and empowering the non-teaching employees to realize the strategic directions.
AYOS Project contributes to the effective and efficient implementation of the DepEd brought about by the Rationalization Program. The infrastructure shift attributed from the rationalization program requires an in-depth understanding on the organizational structure, functions, job designs, policies, procedures, and systems. It needs to be managed well; otherwise, it will affect the SDO’s management, leadership and governance. Stan Davis said “when the infrastructure shifts, everything rumbles”. Hence, managing this organizational change is of prime importance.
MCD’s Select Support Staff Completion to AIM Executive Development Program
The Asian Institute Management (AIM) recently conducted the 5-day Strengthening Access and Quality Education in Region 10 Team Development and Leadership Training for the Support Staff of Region 10 on March 9 to 13, 2015 at Makati AIM Stephen Zuellig Graduate School of Development Management, Makati City. Fifty (50) participants from the Division Offices of DepEd Region 10 and same Regional Office attended the training program under the leadership of Atty. Shirley O. Chatto, Chief Administrative Officer/Officer-In-Charge of the DepEd Regional Office No. 10, Cagayan de Oro City. In Malaybalay City Division, it was participated by Paul John P. Arias, Rhysa Cyle C. Rosalejos and Jutchel L. Nayra.

DepEd’s Role in Document Security and Compliance to EO No. 608, s. 2007
What is DepEd’s role in document security and compliance to EO No. 609, series of 2007? This prompted me to ask this question after reading the Regional Advisory dated January 13, 2015 re: Seminar-Workshop on Document Security and Executive Order (EO) No. 608, s. 2007 entitled “Establishing a National Security Clearance System for Government Personnel with Access to Classified Matters and For Other Purposes”.
EO 608 provides that “it is the duty and responsibility of all government departments, agencies and offices to implement security measures that will protect and ensure the integrity and sanctity of classified or sensitive materials or information they have access to or in their possession.” This provision clearly embodies DepEd’s role. However, not all of the DepEd employees are well versed about EO 608, s. 2007. In fact, most of the participants in the seminar admitted having not known the existence of EO 608, s. 2007 until that seminar conducted by NICA.
