SBM Accreditation Brings Esteem

School Based Management (SBM) as provided in RA 9155 legitimized the empowerment opportunity of the school heads in improving the schools on the different areas such as Performance Indicator (PI) which is 60 %. Under this are indicators on Efficiency which focus on Enrolment & Reducing Drop-Out Rate, Completion and Cohort Survival Rate.  The 40 % is on School Based Management Assessment Score (Data analysis and observations).

Malaybalay City Division Itinanghal na kampeon

val monthItinanghal na kampeon ang Malaybalay City Division sa ginanap na 2014 Regional Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao/Values Education Month Celebration sa Regional Educational Learning Center (RELC), Lapasan,Cagayan de Oro City noong Nobyembre 24.

Ang kumpetisyon ay sinalihan ng 14 na dibisyong bumubuo sa Rehiyon X na kung saan ay ipinadala ang mga magkamit ng unang puwesto sa ginawang Pansangay na patimpalak. Ang bawat kalahok ay nagpakitang gilas sa kani-kanilang mga talento sa pag-awit ng mga awiting nagbibigay papuri sa Panginoon, Paggawa ng poster, Tagis-talino at Pagsulat ng Sanaysay na lahat ay iniayon sa temang : “Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao, Gabay sa Paghubog ng Makataong Lipunan”.

History of the Division of Malaybalay City

(Read by PSDS Noel A. Tan Nery during the Thanksgiving and Blessing of the New Division Office Building  on December 9, 2014)

This impressive stature before us though not as grandiose as other office buildings in the community proclaims its grandeur through its officials, personnel and staff belonging to the breed of brilliant forerunners who seek to serve rather than be served.   This is the best place we should be. We couldn’t ask for a better location to serve our clientele.

We gained this building because of the brain play and concerted effort among agencies in all sectors of our cordial community.  Schools Division Superintendents Edilberto L. Oplenaria and Dr. Florante M. Corpuz used all connections to fast tract the release of funds. Together with the city officials and personnel, City Mayor Ignacio W. Zubiri assisted in facilitating the city permits for the construction of this edifice. Employees of BUSECO, Water District, City Engineering Office, School Districts, DAPSSHI, and all stakeholders.

Meeting the Good Samaritan

goodsamaritanIt was last September 28, 2014, when I finally received information from the Sec. of the Office of the Prime Minister, of Bahrain that His Royal Highness Sheikh KhalifaBin Salman al Khalifa is coming to the Philippines for a state and official visit to Malacañang Palace.

I asked the Secretary if I could have the opportunity to personally see the Prime Minister to thank him for everything he has shared to our school. She answered “yes”, congratulations Ms. Sarah you can fly to Manila and meet the Prime Minister Khalifa. “Bring with you your family” the secretary added. I brought along my two daughters: Mitzi Faye and Mae Friah.

On October 1, we arrived at NAIA and we were advised by Mr. Ralph Stephen M. Calderon, a special envoy of the Philippines to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, office of the President to proceed to Shangri-La, Makati.

The First Flag Ceremony in the New Division Office of DepEd Malaybalay

The sun was shining, the sky was painted with the perfect hue of blue, and the flag was swaying gracefully as the employees lined up in front of the new building to hold the first flag raising ceremony in the new division office at Sayre Highway, Casisang, Malaybalay City on December 1 witnessed by passengers of vehicles passing by, few pedestrians, and the tall trees with their green foliage waving to welcome the occupants.

Superintendent Edilberto L. Oplenaria and the entire staff stood tall and straight as they sang with fervor the hymns for the country, the province, and the city division. Phrases from the songs seemed to create new meaning and to add another dimension to reality.
